The Badger firewood processor from Hud-Son skids, saws, and splits all in one machine. The logs are feed into the processor by a 2 speed 6000 lb. hydraulic winch. The splitter can handle up to 24” blocks with the powerful “V” style splitter with its adjustable wedge. Standard wedge is 2 and 4 way. A 6 way wedge is available option. Badger firewood processor. I like it. I would give 5 stars to one of those Finish rotary chomper types, but those are really expensive and hard to get. The Badger I was able to buy locally. I would call it a Gorilla machine, rugged, simple. It is a good tool in the right hands. Powerful winch, good saw setup. Strong frame. Powerful splitter with adjustable wedge. Should last a long time I would hope. So I don’t feel like I am driving a Porsche, more like a Jeep, when I operate the Badger. Brings out the Gorilla in me. Keep it greased, oiled, sharpened, and check the hydraulic and motor oil, sharpen the chain, and clean away the sawdust and debris.
It does speed up the firewood chore. Also a good way to take care of a downed tree on the spot.

I bought my Badger about a year ago. It works great. But I found it’s easier to push a long long onto the loading ramp with a tractor first. Then pull the cable out to hook up to the log. It saves a step in the process and your back pulling the winch cable twice.

Badger, the machine had a small problem. John and Anthony took care of it as soon as I pulled it in the yard. Great people to deal with. Very happy with my machine.
